I can't wait for my RPi to get to me, I ordered it a while back. I'm also getting the Gert Board. Funny thing is, my Gert Board is supposed to arrive more than a week before I get my RPi. The Element14 website still says 6 are ready to ship LOL.I guess that will give me time to make sure my soldering on the Gert board has been done very, VERY, well.

The RPi doesn't come with Java because it's a bloaty cruft-bucket.

The best results I've had were when I left gpu and core frequencies at default settings.
Try using the following settings in config.txt
arm_freq=900
sdram_freq=500
If that doesn't work, try changing to arm_freq=800
PS - You could use a memory heatsink, because it is the perfect size

I tried overclocking the RAM and GPU but it refuses to boot. I'm tempted to get a heatsink and overvolt it... (warranty be damned!)

I have overclocked and it works fine.
arm_freq=900
sdram_freq=500
gpu_freq=300
core_freq=500
I also am using a 4GB USB Flash Drive for my Swap Partition and this really helps make debian run more efficiently.
